The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released a crucial update for candidates who applied for the Group-III Services recruitment under Notification No. 29/2022, dated 30th December 2022. This update, announced through a web note, is particularly important for candidates who need to make final corrections to their application forms and for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) who require special accommodations during the examination process.
Final Edit Option: A Last Chance to Correct Your Application
TSPSC has provided a final “Edit Option” for candidates to review and correct their application details. This window is open from 02/09/2024 at 10:00 AM to 06/09/2024 at 05:00 PM. During this period, applicants are urged to carefully examine every detail in their online application and make necessary corrections.
Key Instructions for Candidates:
Thorough Review: Applicants must check every entry in their online application for accuracy. Any corrections should be made with the utmost care as this data will be used in the final selection process.
Final Opportunity: This Edit Option is the last opportunity to make changes. Once the Edit Option window closes, no further requests for edits will be entertained by TSPSC.
Download Corrected Application: After making corrections, candidates should download the corrected PDF of their application, verify the details again, and keep the document for future reference.
Supporting Documents: If corrections are made, relevant documents (such as SSC, Aadhar Card, etc.) must be uploaded to validate the changes.
Critical Details: Candidates should pay extra attention to entries related to Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Community, Non-Creamy Layer status, PwD category, Disability Percentage, Scribe/Compensatory Time Requirement, Local Status, and Sports Details. These details are vital for the selection process.
Special Guidelines for PwD Candidates
In a significant move, the Government of Telangana has issued G.O.Ms.No.05, dated 23rd March 2024, outlining detailed guidelines for conducting the written examination for PwD candidates. This includes specific provisions for candidates who fall under the definition of Section 2(s) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016, but not under Section 2(r) of the same Act. This applies to candidates with less than 40% disability who have difficulty in writing.
Provisions for PwD Candidates:
Facility of Scribe and Compensatory Time: PwD candidates with less than 40% disability and difficulty in writing can avail of a scribe and/or compensatory time. However, this is contingent on providing a certificate from a competent medical authority of a government healthcare institution, confirming the candidate’s limitation to write and the necessity of a scribe.
Upload Appendix-III: Eligible PwD candidates are required to upload the Appendix-III form via the Edit Option from 02/09/2024 to 06/09/2024.
SADAREM Certificate: PwD candidates with more than 40% disability should upload their SADAREM certificate issued by the competent authority to avail of the scribe facility.
Strict Adherence: Only those PwD candidates who upload the valid Appendix-III/SADAREM certificate by the last date of the Edit Option will be considered for providing a scribe or compensatory time.
Conclusion
This is a crucial period for all candidates, especially those requiring special accommodations. The TSPSC has made it clear that no further opportunities for edits will be provided after the given window, so candidates must act promptly and with care. Ensuring that your application details are accurate and up-to-date is essential for a smooth selection process.
For more detailed information, candidates should refer to the official TGPSC notification and follow the instructions provided within the stipulated timeframe.
